Epiphany

Epiphany is a heart-felt short about a lone traveller. When asking for directions they realise the stranger is their childhood best friend which leads to numerous walks around the city of Leeds to establish their relationship, likes and finding the travellers destination.

This was made with inspirations from the French New Wave cinema, Director Jean-Luc Godard and a few of his films. For this film I had to incorporate my own auteur style whilst experimenting and using techniques of a wave and/or filmmaker. I used certain locations to portray the visuals of the wave whilst also using polaroid stills as my staple to the film to emphasise my idea of memories and how they can effect us. I used leading lines and water to symbolise the journey that these characters are on in life and how even through the constant flow of life an epiphany occurred and they met once again to make a few more memories.
